Great video. Doing the same for California. Oregon, and Washington Staye would be great.
Nice one, thank you. Guigal CDR never disappoints, prefer it to their more expensive Gigondas. Would be interested to know which Guigal wines you love and which ones have been disappointing.
I have not seen you more energetic and animated than in this video. Nice to see such enthusiasm for wines that are so affordable. I would welcome more with a similar theme.
Would be great if you had a printable list of these wines
Great video and great topic. There is so much value to be found, as you demonstrated.
My value summer white is from the south of France: Cazes, Le Canon, Muscat-Viognier. At around €11 this over performs by a mile.
Thanks for the recommendations!
speaking of cote du rhone, i also like the jl chave cote du rhone, big names small price, maybe i should look into more cote du rhones
You missed Beaujolais.
wonderful, thank you. May I correct your pronounciation in spanish? The J in Granja ist pronounced the same way as the J in Rioja. Fabulous, 93 points for Dehesa de la Granja. Do you know the other wines from Alejandro Fernández? La Pesquera (Founding Member of DOC Ribera del Duero), El Vínculo (from La Mancha), Condado de Haza? Kind regards from Madrid!
10:49 You can also compare to things like Rosso di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
Both of those appellations can also deliver great value IMO.
Great episode! I'm a poor man so I always appreciate good-wine-for-value videos such as this one. Thank you.
I agree with your assessment of Guigal. Maybe slightly above your price point target is their Crozes Hermitage. It retails in the US around $27. It’s what I open if I want a Rhône but don’t want to open a $50+ bottle.
Another wine that I really love in this general price category is Villa Antinori Toscana Rosso. This one can be found between $15-20. It comes from a plot that adjoins Tig! Spectacular for the price.
And for a sparkler Bouvet Brut from the Loire. Under $20. Our go to weeknight bubbles.
The Guigal Côte du Rhône Blanc is maybe even better. Shocked me how good it was recently. Great picks today 🙂
Lovely video. QPR Is always a great way to look for wines. Price point value videos are always great. And recommendations from professionals like yourself are appreciated, I’ve yet to find a cremant from burgundy I care for, so I’ll be on the hunt for the one you mentioned. Cheers. Thank you.
For me the 16-25 dollars price range offers many great values in the United States Lan Rioja Grand reserva is a great value wine
I LOVE this video! One of my favorite wines that I always make sure to have on hand is what I would consider a great "value" wine that I would love you to try. It is the Allegrine Palazzo della Torre Veronese from Veneto Italy! You can pick it up for between $15.99 to $19.99 here in California so I would guess you may be able to get it for less? It is so good!!! Would love to hear your thoughts on it. I can't wait to see if I can find some of these wines you tasted today. Who doesn't love value wines?!?!
I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I absolutely love your videos. They are always so thoughtful and privide great informational content. I look forward to them each Sunday morning. It's a great way to start the day! Thank you!!!!
More "value wines" videos please! Perhaps stick to 10-15 USD price range and dig deeper: for instance: old world reds, new world reds, old world whites, new world whites, sparkling wines.
For me Portuguese reds deliver more quality for their price. Blends with Touriga Nacional are so typical of the region.
A great $15 wine I really like are the Chateau Bousquet wines. They’re all in the 12-16 dollar range but consistently deliver
Thank you – another excellent video, and thank you for more generousl shared expertise. Muscadet has really delivered value for me recently: interest, complexity and great value. Also, Rhone – super value on 5/6 year old reds, delivering fruit and complexity. Thanks again.
I think South-African Chardonnay offers great value in the 15 euro price range which is quite unbelievable given they have to literally travel from the other side of the planet to be enjoyed here in Finland.
Please enable other languages in your video.
I recommend stiegelmar chardonnay 2022 ried hochäcker 15€ a top wine from Austria
Great video, Agnes. I will be on the lookout for these wines. Thanks
