1 pound ground chuck
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small yellow onion diced
1 garlic clove minced
26 ounces marinara sauce (1 jar)
1 large egg lightly beaten
2 cups small curd cottage cheese (4% milk fat)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided
¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese divided
20 jumbo pasta shells cooked per package directions, to al dente
Chopped fresh basil leaves for garnish
