How To Make Italian Dolce Mattone

This dessert is typical of the Italian tradition. It was the first dessert I learned, it’s very easy to prepare and it reminds me a lot of my childhood. It’s called “sweet brick” because it resembles bricks, it’s a fresh cake that doesn’t require cooking, it’s simple and quick. If you love coffee, this dessert is for you!
For a vegan version of this dessert, replace the butter with margarine and don’t add the eggs!

Here are the ingredients:
125 grams of icing sugar
125 grams of butter
60 grams of ground coffee
60 ml of coffee
60 ml of pebble liquor, or any type of alcoholic and non alcoholic syrup
2 egg yolks

Put the butter, sugar and the two egg yolks in a steel bowl, use an electric whisk and, after 1 minute, add the ground coffee. Once you get a creamy consistency, let it cool. Dip the biscuits alternating coffee and liqueur and spread the butter cream (see video).
