Our last full day in Amed, Bali was a mix of beautiful views, terrible food, scooter adventures, beach reality, storms, and a sunset dinner that looked just as bad as it tasted.

We started the morning by walking halfway to breakfast, deciding it was too far, walking back and then hiring a scooter. We spent the day exploring the coastline and beaches around Amed, flew the drone so we could see all the pollution in the sea, got caught in a storm back at the villa, and ended the night with dinner overlooking the sea.

If you’re planning Amed, this vlog gives a real look at what the beaches, roads, food, and atmosphere are actually like.

  1. Wow you weren’t kidding about the food. The lettuce looked so dirty 🫣 I hope the view was worth it at least. It looks like a beautiful area. That’s interesting that most of those beaches were privatised. Are there any public beaches that are worth going to in Amed? The pool in the villa looked really nice though, so maybe there’s no need to swim at the beach. Is Amed more famous for other types of scenery?
