The workshop walls are finally coming together as I close up the last section around the beams, while also sketching out the layout of the space and planning where machines and workbenches will go. A strong windstorm rolls through as Ela works on the garden beds, and we take a quiet break on the calmer side of the mountain.

Nice. Thank you for sharing your days with us❤️🙏🙂
Delightful, the visit w Johannes, the beautiful structure of the work shop and the exciting plans for its setup. I appreciate how intentional Martijn and Ela are with their time. Enjoyed seeing the stone hut built under the rock.
Happy Easter, Martijn. I always feel so joyful and blessed whenever I watch your videos. Stay blessed.
Hi We absolutely enjoy your your videos. Wanted to mention a concern. You were treating your visiting dog neighbor with chicken bones. That is a very dangerous practice. Dogs do not handle the bones well and they can cause problems.
Ela, you're doing great! This is great help from a real woman to a real man!👍 I actually like women who are decently dressed, without any makeup, and without a grown-out manicure! ♥️
P.S. It was great to see Johannes!!! 👋🤝
I hope you do a computer drawing of what the shop is going to look like, just like you did with other rooms.
Also, there are woodworkers on youtube who have build flip=over tables for their miter saw, so they can utilize the space in a small workshop. Just a suggestion.
Such skill and great companionship❤
Signs of realizing I'm getting older (I'm 56). I am enjoyiing watching your relationship change and mature as the two of you figure out ways to make your partnership work. It's a constant back and forth and negations to find an equilibrium where you both feel you are supported and also have your independence. Relationships are wonderful, but they are constant work.
Isn't it a bit dark in the new workshop without a skylight (roof window)?
Did you see that YouTuber Wild Line use clips of you and your fireplace on their show 12 days ago?
Thanks
Surly a wringer washer for clothes wouldn’t be too modern for your vision of being off grid! I worry about Ella trying to scrub your clothes and wring out your heavy clothes by hand. Please protect those creative delicate ,skilled hands of hers as much as possible! Arthritis can take hold very quickly in cool weather! I worry about her!
Good morning Martijn. I don’t know whether you will read this message but I’ll give it a try. I live in Rufina, Firenze and have followed your channel since the beginning. I know you have recently got more chickens and mentioned you might hatch some chicks. I have a beautiful antique incubator that I think you would love. I’m looking for a new home for it and thought of you. If you’re interested (free of charge) let me know. I’ll also deliver it to you if you want it. Best wishes, Scott
5:09 wow, amazing scene. You all work hard for your lifestyle, brilliant and thanks for sharing
Thanks
34:18 OMG Go for it!
38:43 OK, no. Off grid goes too far – lol. Boost the solar farm and get a machine
ALL types of onions are poisonous to chickens!
Thought I saw some some green or spring onion tops 😮
So how are you going to heat your work shop ?
Martijn, have you ever thought about joining the two cabins….
Always lovely to see Ela working… she's amazing!

When will you finally realize that you need a tractor?
Hi Martin, not sure if you'll see this question amid the hundreds you get each week, but are you putting water into the workshop, to have a sink and taps, for cleaning tools, and to make a coffee or tea?
If you have WD40 in Italy, you can put a thin spray of it on tools and cast iron table saw beds. Especially when not in use for a while. It makes a protective film from moisture.
I wish there were away for Martijn to let us know when there will NOT be a program. I am so addicted to them so end up terribly frustrated when I keep trying to tune in and the next episode is not available. Sometimes his programs are released at 8am my time, today one has not yet been released at 9 am. A few weeks ago i told myself that I simply should stop planning on seeing his programs on Sunday to avoid getting disappointed by trying the channel over and over!
So are yall doing a video today
Hello Martin , comme d'habitude une très belle vidéo ❤ vivement la prochaine 😊Stay strong 💪🍀🙏💗
Thanks!
I love to watch Ela paint. She is so talented. And painting isn't her only talent! She's quite the cook! You have come so far with your homestead! And it is just beautiful!! Blessings!
Dear Martijn, i wanted to let you know about your wall edges, you must always leave a little space for expension of the different materials used through the seasons. For this
you must use solf material that you use to cut all air penetration and small gapes between your structural elements. Thanks dear Martijn and Ela , for bringing this level of beauty in
our sunday morning !
