Surprised it's not the US, probably my favorite food.
I traveled all over the world and no matter the country after a day or 2 I'll eventually get a pizza or calzone from somewhere.
But when home in the states I only tend to eat "healthy" pizza with cauliflower crust, lite sauce and cheese and loaded with vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, ect. My family hates it.
Actually it is the United States. There are many more people living in the United States compared to Norway (340 million people vs 5.57 million), so a slightly lower amount per person still adds up to much higher pizza consumption overall.
Norway consumes the most pizza per capita, with citizens eating an average of approximately 11.4 kg (about 25 lbs or 61 slices) per person annually. Driven by a high demand for frozen pizza, this Nordic country leads the world in per capita consumption, followed by the United States and Canada.
