Wowowowowow! Hubby made me a zeroed in homemade version and of my favorite breakfast treat: Sausage breakfast pizza from Casey's- the famed Midwest gas station chain.
We moved to San Francisco 15 years ago and while we go to The Motherland (FYIFK) to visit family and friends at least once a year, sometimes I just jones for that amazing cheese gravy, sausage, egg and cheese slice. Today he pulled out all the stops and wowowowowow was it delicious!!!
What really pulled it together was the cheese gravy. He cooked the sausage, made a roux, and added cheddar cheese and fresh thyme. On top of the sauce you've got scrambled eggs, spicy sausage, red onion, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, all on top of homemade pizza dough.
Winner winner breakfast pizza!
