My mom had her teeth out awhile ago and is having trouble eating. my signature dish is typically chicken Alfredo, last night I did just Alfredo and angel hair for her so it was easy to eat.

-Half a stick of Kerry gold unsalted

melt

-add minced garlic

brown garlic in skillet

-cup of heavy whipping cream

simmer/stir often

add your cheese rind and simmer

add Italian seasoning and pepper to taste

once sufficiently simmered, remove from heat, discard rind

add in half a cup of heavy cream

add in desired amount of 2 year aged Parmesan reggiano to desired thickness. usually 1 1/2 cups, stirring in slowly until cheese is melted.

throw pasta at the wall to make sure it sticks.. jk lol

anyways, a traditional Alfredo does not use heavy cream as I understand it. but Americans put it in and this is one of my mom's favorite things to eat. no jar BS here and better than Olive garden.
