Dealing with democratics is such a headache.
The Chronicle was built on lies and nasty hatred. One of it's founders, Charles de Young, used the paper to attack a judge and the two dueled in a public street, both missing with their shots. I fact, the founder of the Chronicle was arrested previously for printing papers full of lies regarding the war, when he was still a kid. But later, Charles would use the paper to try and sway the mayor's election by accusing one candidate of having an affair, that man then said de Young's mother ran a brothel which had already been reported on by others. Charles de Young got so furious, while hiding behind the curtains in a carriage, he had a women do his dirty work for him and ask for the mayoral candidate to step closer to the carriage, when he did, Charles de Young shot him with a handgun.
That man survived his wounds and the public ended up voting FOR HIM, while Charles de Young fled. When he returned to the city, the son of the man de Young shot, confronted him and shot him to death.
Turn out, Charles de Young had tried to shoot a lot of people over the years and was a lousy marksman. His killer went to trial but the jury figured de Young deserved what he got, they found him not guilty.
The Chronicle has not changed one bit since it's very founing in the 1800's.

DamnFine is actually my second favorite pizza in SF. Tony's deserves it's hype. It is incredible. And yes I have been to NYC and Italy. But DamnFine is really great Napolitano style.
