  1. I think the ratio of ice cream to espresso is the key to if it's a drink or dessert. Based on nothing at all I'd say if you put more than a heaping tablespoon of ice cream then dessert.

  3. I've seen affogatos that are literally just a big cup with two scoops of ice cream and a tiny bit of espresso. WTF, that thing isn't an affogato, stop calling it that! 😭😭😭🤚

  4. So in the 1950’s gelato bars and coffee bars were popping everywhere then they secretly had a baby named affogato and that baby got famous all around the world, baseball Huh?

  5. In our small local italian restaurant they serve it in a tumbler glass as a thin layer of chocolate sponge cake, a large scoop of vanilla ice-cream and 30ml of hot espresso on top of that. One of their best desserts.
