While this looks good and I would eat it, it has nothing, and I mean nothing in common with Stroganoff. Nothing.
Looks tasty but you essentially just made a macaroni and beef with penne rather than elbows. Not a Stroganoff. Not being pedantic.
If you ever to want to make an elevated stroganoff however, use a filet mignon or other tenderloin or even eye round
