Mini Pizza | Make Ahead and Freeze PIZZA Recipe | Mini Pizza Snacks | Homemade Pizza Dough
Here’s what you will need:
INGREDIENTS
For Pizza Dough
3/4 Cup | 180g Lukewarm Water
2 Teaspoon Sugar
1 Teaspoon | 3g instant Yeast
1 Tablespoon Olive oil
2 Cups | 250g All Purpose Flour/Maida
1 Teaspoon Salt
METHOD
1. Mix Lukewarm water with instant Yeast and Sugar. Do not use Boiling Hot Water it will kill the yeast. Rest for 10 mins till foams if using Dry Active Yeast. Instant Yeast can be added immediately. Transfer to a mixing Bowl. Add Olive oil, half of the flour and Salt. Give it a Mix.
2. Add Rest of the Flour and Knead for 2 mins till just combined. Cover & Rest for 15-20Mins.
3. After Resting the Dough will absorb most of the moisture. Dust some Flour on a Mat and Knead for 5-6 Mins Till it gets Smooth but still slightly Sticky. Dough has to be very Soft so avoid adding too much flour. Dough will be Smooth after Rising.
4. Grease the Dough with Olive Oil and Cover with a Muslin or a Kitchen Cloth. Cover with the Mixing Bowl and Let it rest till Doubles in a Warm Place.
5. After 60 Mins, it got Doubled. For Dry Active Yeast it may take around 90Mins to Double depending on the climate. Punch out the Air and Form into a Smooth Ball again. Dust the Surface liberally with flour and Roll out using a Rolling Pin.
6. Use a 3 Inch Cookie Cutter or a Wide Mouthed Glass to shape into Mini Pizzas. Roll out the remaining dough and keep covered till Use. Place the Mini Pizzas in a Parchment Paper lined tray dusted with Flour. Use a Good Quality Parchment Paper else the dough will stick to them. The ones that comes as a Roll usually are of good quality rather than the brown cut outs.
7. Cover the mini pizzas with a cloth and let them rise for 10 Mins. Prick few holes with a fork to avoid puffing up during baking and layer with pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, bell peppers, onions, olives and sausages.
8. Bake at 230°C or 446 F in a preheated Oven for 11-12 mins or till the cheese starts bubbling, gets brown on top. Use Room temperature Mozzarella Cheese for it to melt faster rather than cold ones. Garnish with Olive oil, Dried Oregano and Chili flakes if you prefer them Spicy.
9. To Freeze leftover Dough, place the mini pizzas in a tray, Rest for 10 mins, prick with a fork, Bake them 230°C or 446 F in a preheated Oven for 3 mins. Once they cool down completely, keep them in an airtight container or freezer safe bags. These stays good for 1-2 months.
10. When you need to bake, microwave the frozen pizzas for 30 secs just before baking to make them soft again. Layer with Sauce and toppings. Bake at 230°C or 446 F in a preheated Oven for 8-9 mins or till the cheese starts bubbling, gets brown on top.
