Hope you guys enjoyed today’s video! We explored the beautiful city of Lucca, Italy! Lucca wasn’t totally on our radar originally but we are sooooo glad we made the day trip here! It is seriously one of the cutest, most Italian cities we’ve been to. Every turn was a cute alley way or cafe. After some exploring and smelling all the yummy foods, we decided we needed to do a DIY food tour. Our first stop was this pop in restaurant where we got some classic bolognese pasta with housemade pasta noodles and a tuscan pizza (another classic and our first pizza in Italy!). After our meal, they brought us a couple shots? We were not sure what they were as we didn’t order them, we’ve never seen this before, and they didn’t say anything, just set them on the table. I don’t know if this is standard in Italy or if they were just being generous, let us know in the comments below! But they were definitely lemony shots of alcohol. After our meal we stopped for some coffee and sparkling water at a nearby coffee shop called Zēbar. After coffee, we HAD to end the day with gelato. When you’re in Italy, you have to eat as much gelato as you can, am I right? Hopefully you liked our DIY food tour and got some inspiration for what to eat in Italy! The night ended a little differently than we had hoped as Kyle left his wallet behind at the gelato shop, Papa Grappa. We went rushing back to hopefully find it untouched. And that completed our day in Lucca, Italy.
