  1. Full recipe here:
    – 1/2 yellow onion
    – Salt and pepper
    – 2-3 cloves of minced garlic
    – 1 pound of ground meat
    – 1 tbs Italian seasoning (or just mix equal parts of dried basil, thyme, oregano like I did)
    – Salt, pepper and red pepper to taste
    – 5 cups of broth
    – 1 jar of tomato sauce (24oz)
    – I used bow tie pasta and added about half of a 16 oz box
    – season with more salt as you go!
    – for the cheese mixture, the measurements don't need to be exact.
Just mix about 1 cup of ricotta with 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella, some Parmesan, salt and parsley if you have some
    – You can also add some heavy cream if you want it to be extra creamy! About 1/2 a cup

  2. tip; cook your beef/italian sausage and remove it from the pan before you cook your onions. your onions will have a way better flavor because you can use all the fond in the pot. additionally onions have a lot of water which will steam the meat instead of browning, preventing the maillard reaction.

  3. Genuine question if you don’t eat meat, for whatever the reason may be, why get something imitating it?
