We spend a lot of time exploring traditional, home-cooked Italian food. But not today!
In this video, I’m sampling my first taste of Italian frozen convenience food. I grew up on this stuff in America, but what does the freezer section in Italy have to offer? Join us as Eva takes me on a tour of the offerings: from frozen pizza to… Italian Hot Pockets?

Frozen food in Italy ?!
To me, Italpizza is the best, of i want a quick frozen pizza.
Eva's husband didn't grew up in Italian American neighborhood in USA..that's why he's not used to good food in America.
I just saw that Pizza today and a closeout grocery store called grocery outlet. It was 5.99 in Southern California
🤭 Eva played the smartass trick here, for each item she chose the top Italian brand of the genre… so Findus for the sofficini and pasta (4 Salti in Padella is a Findus commercial brand) and Italpizza for the pizza.
Try and get less famous brands or the low cost crap (same exact "foods" in theory) ones from LIDL, which is German TBH, and you'll be right back to American level frozen foods 🤗
Trader Joe’s has various frozen pastas from Italy that you heat up in a pan
How much was the pizza?
Personaly I cant really understand why you would want frozen pasta. Sell blocks of frozen Ragu .. sure I can see that but pasta takes 10-12 mins at most so no time saving to cook in 10 mins.
Italpizza è di gran lunga la migliore, gioca un altro campionato rispetto alle altre.
You should try German frozen Pizza. Dr. Oetker, Wagner and such. There are really nice ones among them.
Here in Germany we have also Italpizza in the Shops. There are also some other brands that try to make high quality Pizza. Then they normally cost around 5-7€… Italpizza is around 3,50€, in offer eben cheaper (I remember 2,22 last year at the Discounter)… But Italopizza beats them all…
Fork is the way to go! Hot Pockets get nuclear hot so using a fork is essential to not burning your mouth.
We find a few of these rebranded and sold at Trader Joes
Lucky bast@=d
What method does your father -in -law use to freeze his mushrooms?
costco had 3 packs of the italpizza , margherita, yeah they were good. Especially straight out the oven.
Also much the same as an empanada, with similar wholesome ingredients. Stay away from factory processed food products.
Che e mordidella?
Orient Bambino Harper?
se la magni calda la pizza è meglio
I do as Eva suggested, I make sauces in large batches then freeze in ice cube trays. When they opened the frozen pasta meal bag it was exactly as I thought it would look.
Harper being his normal idiot self lol
Whoa wait a minute there lady 😮 i didn't hear you say ONE SINGLE CHEMICAL in the list if ingredients! There's no way that works!!!
