Homemade Italian Herb Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup water 100 degrees F (240 grams 38C)
1 packet of active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp 7 grams)
1 Tbsp sugar (15 grams)
4 Tbsp oil (56 grams)
1/2 cup finely shredded parmesan cheese (40 grams)
1 and 1/2 tsp oregano (1.5 grams)
1 tsp garlic powder (1.5 grams)
1 tsp onion powder (1.5 grams)
1 and 1/2 tsp basil (1.3 grams)
1 and 1/2 tsp salt (9 grams)
3 cups bread flour (375 grams)
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl take one cup of water that is about 100 degrees F (38C). Add the yeast and sugar and let bloom/proof for 10 minutes so you know your yeast is alive. Add the oil, flour, cheese, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, basil, and salt. Bring together with a spatula and then knead the dough in the bowl by hand for 10 minutes. I like to knead for 5 minutes, let it rest 5 minutes, and then knead it again for 5 more minutes. Roll the dough into a ball, spray the bowl and dough with oil, cover with plastic wrap and let double in size in a warm place in your kitchen. (oven without the oven on just the light on) 1-2 hours. Gently deflate the dough. Roll into a ball and an 8 inch log then place the dough in an 8 and 1/2 by 4 and 1/2 greased loaf pan. Let double in size and rise a few inches over the rim of the bread pan. 1-2 hours in a warm place. Bake at 350 degrees F (176 C) for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Brush the loaf with a couple tablespoons of melted butter. Let the loaf rest until cooled (about 1 hour) and enjoy!

great work
Yum I canโt wait to try!
I am sicilian we not the canola oil we use olive oil
I seriously doubt an Italian would ever use canola oil or iodized salt. Olive oil and rock/sea salt.
Why would you use seed oilsโฆ ๐
