#63 Gnocchi di Susine (Trentino–Alto Adige)
I learned about these dumplings from someone who wrote to me saying, “In our valley, we fill gnocchi with plums.” I had never seen anything like it, but once I tried them they made sense. Soft potato dough, small plums filled with sugar and cinnamon, then boiled and rolled in butter-toasted breadcrumbs. The first bite explained why they lasted this long: warm fruit, light dough and toasted crumbs all working together. Just the kind of mountain comfort that comes from using what you have and doing it well.

  1. Lol, my grandma used to make this, yet she was Pole that ran from war to France😅
Damn this was probably my favorite dish as a child

  3. It derives from Czech ovocne knedlik, as many other Viennese "flour desserts" or the typical "böhmische Mehlspeisen"

Quanti piatti abbiamo? 😅😋😋😋😋

  6. This is a very common dish in Hungary called "Szilvásgombóc". It's a children's favourite. The only difference is that we also add cinnamon to the sugar inside.

  7. If this is is Italian then Pizza is from Egypt,it is a dish from Hungary for your good information… remember that that part of Italy once was part of the Austria-Hungarian empire not Italy😂😂😂😂😂 Ignorant
