Pasta Pomodoro has been with me since the very beginning. It’s simple, soulful, and somehow still the dish I get asked about the most. In this video, I’m showing you exactly how I make it from scratch, just like I’ve done in my restaurants, and even before that, in my home kitchen.
I’ll walk you through everything: the ingredients I swear by, the techniques that make the sauce silky and rich, and some personal stories about how this dish came to be. It’s not just pasta, it’s a memory, a philosophy, and a lesson in why simplicity matters.
Whether you’re making it for the first time or trying to perfect it, I hope this helps you fall in love with the process like I have.
Let me know in the comments if you try it, and don’t forget to subscribe for more recipes and behind-the-scenes from my kitchen.

Even though that pasta and sauce look delicious, I will never like a sauce better than my MOM’s. She’d start making it in the morning on Sundays, and cook the meats in seperate pans, and by early afternoon she would add the meatballs, sausage, and most importantly a little bit of cooked pepperoni. I can almost taste it now. I love you Mom, miss you every day, and can’t wait until we’re all together again for a Sunday dinner.
My Nona . She was from Naples to put them in a paper bag and put th E m in a dark place…cellar
Even green tomatoes will ripen and have a very meaty, not watery
I’m sorry, but I did not get that joke. 😮

I love this so much
Food in Tokyo is great
As a descendent of Benevento Italy also I have to agree my great Grandmother Louisa’s gravy and sauce is still the best ever and cannot be matched.
I'm going to make my sauce exactly like you Scott

Gonna make this! Looks delicious
Buon sugo, buon piatto e bello il maestro 😮ti guardo dall'italia 👍
I made your pasta sauce tonight, it is a rich and delicious sauce. I'll be making it again. I don't like separating my Spaghetti from a meat sauce. So this was perfect. I just wish my family had been here to try it tonight. Thank you for your full recipe.
you should correct the Tablespoon of red pepper flakes, that was waaay too much, and in the video I can see most of the Tablespoon left on the cutting board when you cleaned them away. And that heavy butter distroys the Tomato flavor, are you sure you own a resturant?
INCORRECT GARLIC IS A NO😂😂😂 THIS IS NOT CORRECT NEVER PUT GARLIC IN TOMATOES POMODORO
Are there any homes for sale next to you? That way you can invite me over for dinner now and then. 😊
Out of the thousands of videos of recipes I’ve watched (and some I’ve saved), this Pasta Pomodoro is the only one that I would want to eat before I die. This is because your recipe is exactly how our Italian landlords made their tomato sauce for pasta. And every time they had our American family over to eat, all of us children couldn’t get enough. That was over 58 years ago when I was 8 years old. Now my parents and most of my siblings are morte leaving me with the memories of the best years of my life. Grazie tanto for making my mouth water as my eyes close to your video. A video of flavors which evokes those happy years filled with the security of warm true love that only a child can feel for their Dad and Mom; cooking in an old farm house kitchen back over-the-rainbow.
I usually don't cook my fresh pasta that long but hey….. To each his own
man has p0rno music for his pasta vid
I want to thank the Chef for sharing his recipe and technique. I closely followed the recipe and I am very pleased with the results. My family is very impressed, I was sure to tell them about the Chef and to like and subscribe.
As an Italian lady born and raised in Italy you adding butter on pasta is WRONG.
YOU NEVER ADD BUTTER TO SAUCE
