Mac and cheese
Ingredients
– 10 ml olive oil
– 250 g bacon, diced
– 1 slice of sourdough, diced
– 50 g butter
– 50 g flour
– 1 l milk
– 300 g pasta
– 150 g cheddar
– 150 g mozzarella
– Salt and pepper, to season
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
2. Bring water to a boil in a large pot, salt the water and add your pasta.
3. add the bacon and sourdough to a pan with olive oil and cook until crispy.
4. Remove the bacon and sourdough and add butter and flour to the pan. Cook for 2 minutes.
5. Slowly add in the milk while stirring to ensure the béchamel doesn’t form clumps.
6. Add the cheese to the béchamel and cook until the sauce is thick enough to cover the back of a spoon.
7. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce.
8. Add the bacon and sourdough crumble on top and place in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
9. Garnish with chives.
10. Enjoy!
