Wow Chris it's wonderful to see you in my Puglia region near my city as well as the beautiful Polignano a mare in the province of Bari!!!
There the food is exquisite as in other places that I recommend you to go because Puglia especially in Salento has the most beautiful sea excellent food and sunsets over the sea.
Indeed that restaurant is very famous but lately it is sinning on the quality of the food I'm sorry it wasn't at a high level but thank goodness you liked other places. In Polognano a mare the ice cream is also very good in a deleterious very famous type with pistachio flavor

Chris, here in Europe, if you want to eat well, you have to go to typical restaurants, taverns, etc.
Luxury restaurants, no matter how beautiful the views and the beauty, the food doesn't compare to that of typical restaurants.

I think that almost every food tastes better than American food. But Italian food is on a whole other level. It's the best, freshest and healthiest food I've ever eaten.
