Col d’Orcia is located on the southern slope of Montalcino in Tuscany near the Orcia River.
The name “Col d’Orcia” translates to “the hill overlooking the Orcia River,” which describes the estate’s prominent location. The estate is situated in the heart of the Brunello di Montalcino region and is the largest organic estate in Tuscany.
In this breathtaking video, Francesco Marone Cinzano and his son Santiago take us on an intimate tour of the estate, introducing the history, philosophy and geography that underpin this family-owned business.
Balance, harmony and a continuous search for the right interaction between nature, man and the environment. The presence of farm animals, for example, is an essential element of Col d’Orcia’s holistic approach to nature.
In harmony with its obsession with nature, Col d’Orcia demonstrates a continuous commitment to evolution and innovation, exemplified in their long-standing collaboration with the University of Florence and their experimental use of a range of training systems in the field.
The tour concludes at the foot of a centuries old oak tree, an enduring symbol of Col d’Orica’s obsession with nature.
