Not too big a fan of ricotta I use cottage 😬
as an ITALIAN this is shame, because you have to put bescamella not the ricotta whit egg yolks and the bast has to be cooked before the oven. the ragu is not this.

Basic lasagna isn't really difficult. It's just time consuming and makes a lot of dirty dishes. As a single person, it also means I have 9 big portions at the end. Luckily leftovers are fantastic and it freezes well. Well worth the effort a couple times a year.
