I eat at and review Ceres in the Little Italy neighborhood of New York City. The pizzeria was started by veterans of the three Michelin starred restaurant Eleven Madison Park. Ceres became very popular and captured the attention of everyone when Dave Portnoy of One Bite Pizza Reviews scored the restaurant’s pizza 9.2. As a result, lines grew, and long waits ensued. I had to find out for myself if the pizza lived up to the hype and the high price tags.

  1. To me #airfryer_pizza is one of those crazy things …remember the "personal pan pizza"? Little tiny snack pizza thingys always loved that one too. Amazing how social media now The Ai impacting food or more accurate "taste." Definitely a great looker this pie! "Shows well!" 😊😊

  2. That's some high end douchy version of a pizza. When Dom was alive DiFarra's in Brooklyn was the best, had Dave P.'s top rating along with Sallys.

  3. What could be more un-New York than a sign that says "no slices"? Literally a million other great pizzeria's to try and enjoy. Hard pass.

  4. Ceres is everything wrong with the modern world dressed up as artisanal culture.
The pizza? Bland, forgettable, and not even close to justifying the absurd price tag.
The staff? Smug, like they’re doing you a favor for existing.
The vibe? Soulless. Sterile. Manufactured cool with none of the substance.
It’s less a restaurant, more a cash grab feeding off a society too distracted—or too desperate, to notice they’re being served mediocrity with a side of attitude. Ceres isn’t just disappointing, it’s a mirror. And what it reflects should make you uncomfortable.

  5. They can charge whatever they want while business is hot…that’s how supply and demand works boys. Welcome to capitalism !!!

  6. Mark of Lucali…his brother Chris owns Giuseppina's in Park Slope which is 99 percent identical to Lucali minus the wait and a full drink menu.

  7. $40 bucks for this? 😮

    Hell no!

This sounds like that experiment with a cheap wine in an expensive ass bottle with “connoisseurs” rating it. They all gave it glowing reviews 😂

So basically our perception of these experiences is influenced by a lot of external factors…, so for $40 bucks, I better be having a gorgeous woman by my side & a cab waiting for me outside to take us into my NY 20th floor apartment 😅

Good video anyway – I enjoy the spots you show us, & certainly make it clear which ones I won’t be going ever, hehe!

  8. Do they let you show up early and sign up for a time slot later in the day? Like if I wanted to eat the pizza at 5 pm

  9. After eating it looks like you brushed your teeth with charcoal tooth paste lol.. Dave’s reviews sucks, he’s know shit about pizza and he favors brick oven so that says a lot . He know nothing about gas oven pizza

  10. On your point about the pizza being dry – this is dave portnoys favorite style, crispy and light on toppings. It's ok but I prefer a little more toppings
