FYI, canning rings should not be stored on jars because they can trap moisture, leading to rust on the rings and potentially the jar lids. This can compromise the seal, making it difficult to detect spoilage. Removing the rings allows for easy inspection of the seals and ensures a true vacuum seal, reducing the risk of foodborne illnesses like botulism. Food safety experts recommend.

  2. Dont forget to label and date it. Ive been known to find a rogue jar of something ive canned and have been grateful for always having it properly labeled

  3. The jars are cold by the time you poured in the hot sauce. Surprised you didn’t have breakage. I always thought jars need to be hot, like the sauce. I really like the process, otherwise.
