  1. Itโ€™s All good!๐Ÿ˜ something for everyone and every mood๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ• we love malnatis, usually get Spinach and CRUMBLED sausage deep dish

  2. As a Chicago native, my feeling is that the majority of people from the area eat tavern style, and that most of the best places are away from downtown or in the suburbs (Vito and Nick's, Barraccos, Aurelio's, and more recently Kim's Uncle Pizza). For deep dish, I'm from the south side, I feel like most people this way lean Giordano's. But also – one style not covered in the video is pan pizza, with the charred cheese crust. The two best representatives of that style are Pequod's and Burt's Place in the north suburbs.

  3. i'm a hardcore thin crust guy and Pat's was always a favorite, until they moved out of my neighborhood a few years ago. i've been meaning to visit their new location (i'm afraid they're now too far away to deliver to us, tho i haven't checked to be sure) but haven't made it there yet. i won't say that i NEVER eat deep dish but it's not my choice. i'll opt for thin crust tavern style squares. there are many good places for it in Chicago but Pat's is one of the best. Be sure to check out Leona's too tho.

  4. Lived in Chicago for over 60 years. Malnatiโ€™s Deep Dish. Nancy's Stuffed. There are lots of great thin crust, I like Rosati's.

  5. Lou Malnati's is my favorite but I always get it with Butter Crust kind of makes it a softer crust but it tastes so much better

  6. I got to go to Chicago in April this year. I met some ladies on top of London House, who advised me to try Lou Malnatis. Downtown (of course, because I was car-less). And "it was one of the most beautiful things that I have ever laid eyes on y'all"
So much so that I went back the following night, with some of the people I met on the tour that I was joining.
    "yes yes yes yes"
    Totally agree with you both.
    LOVED Chicago.

  7. Great video!! I'm from Chicago and my favorite pizza place "Mario and Franks" from when I was a kid is now sadly closed but I've had all 3 of those pizza's and they are great! Also, my first job was at Franks pizza on Belmont in Chicago. Great pizza as well.

  8. Vito and Angelo's is my favorite thin crust with sausage jalapeรฑos and mushrooms Amazing On Fullerton and Monticello

  9. Pequods just beats out Lou's IMO. They are pretty close, but love their burnt cheese on the crust.

  10. Chicago Pizza is a ITALIAN SAUSAGE I'm 67 never heard of having Pepperoni on a pizza ๐Ÿ• till a went out of state

  11. I've lived in Chicago 20 years, typically deep dish is for when you go out to eat and want to spend 2 hours sitting down, maybe even put on your church clothes. Thin crust is what you get at bars, or get delivered on a Saturday for a party. And every neighborhood has at least three places that can claim to be the best. Chicagoans rarely have to travel more than 16 blocks to get their favorite pizza.

  12. I like Lou's, but I prefer Pequod's and My Pie. My favorite thin crust is Wells Brothers in Racine, WI.

  13. aw man please don't use chat gpt to write stuff for this channel, dang you guys… c'mon…..

  14. Sadly you guys missed one style of pizza unique to this area. The one that's ACTUALLY two pizzas stacked on each other. The Double Decker. It's pretty much only served up north and it is so much better than Deep Dish.

We do love our tavern style too and that pizza from Pat's was looking mighty tasty. Reminds me of Pizza House in Zion IL from the like of it. I'll have to try it. Thanks for the fun video.

  15. Why do I insist on watching this stuff at 9pm!?? Yeesh! Thanks for the video. It all looked good

  16. I LOVE Lou Malnatiโ€™s. We eat it a LOT. Get a Lou Meal Deal of pizza and salad. And oh my god, the Malnati sweet Italian and Caesar dressing are fantastic. We love both deep dish and their thin crust. In fact, we had aLou thin crust and salad delivered last night

And my crunchy crust tip, I turn my pizza upside down to keep every square inch of my pizza crunchy until I get to it. It works!!

  17. I don't know why Moretti's never enters the conversation for top-tier tavern style, but it definitely should. The Lou's near me has been slipping, I may need to try a different one. My favorite for stuffed historically was Edwardo's, which used to be a pretty big deal in the Chicago area but I think they're down to only two locations left. I need to try Edwardo's again soon before it disappears for good.
