2 slices cabbage (1″ thick), cut into thirds
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp olive oil, plus more for the other side
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
Chopped fresh parsley, optional

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On the baking sheet, create 6 piles of Parmesan, seasoning, and olive oil. Gently mix and flatten. Place a cabbage slice onto each pile. Drizzle the tops with a little more oil and seasoning.
Place the cabbage in the oven for 16-19 minutes, until browned all the way around. Remove from the oven and cool for 2 minutes, then flip the slices over. Bake for another 10 minutes. Garnish with parsley.

  1. Italian seasoning?
Is that an American name for Oregano to make it sound more exotic or what?

Italian seasoning could literally mean anything, worst description ever.

  2. Isn't it dangerous to fry/bake olive oil? Low temp is ok but high temp's change it's properties to be acrylamide and ? Aa trans fat,?
    Apologies if I'm wrong.

  3. Parmigiano Reggiano – or just parmesan in English – is pronounced "par-muh-Zan".
Americans somehow manage to screw up a word that's pronounced exactly like it's spelled. Slow clap

  4. Why is everyone acting like this is some culinary masterpiece… someone came home drunk, but only had cabbage and cheese.
    This was the final product

  5. Then layer it with buffalo motz and ladle fresh chunky tomatoe sauce on top and bake and you will go straight to heaven!!!!

  6. As an Italian I have no idea what Italian seasoning is, nor do I wish to know. Grazie anyway
