Start with a layer of ragu at the bottom of your baking dish. This keeps the pasta moist and flavorful. Use fresh pasta sheets if possible. They make all the difference in texture. Next, a layer of creamy bechamel and a generous sprinkle of Parmigiano-Reggiano. Keep layering until you reach the top. For the last layer, finish with bechamel and plenty of parmigiano.
