WELCOME TO THE FIRST EPISODE OF DATE NIGHT WITH A BOOK!

Okay, so what is “date night with a book” and how is it book related?
Basically, I’ll be cooking a meal for the perfect date night in- but not with a person, this is for you and your book date of choice!
And every episode, I’ll also be setting you up with the book date of your dreams, for the ultimate date night in!

TODAY’S DATE: The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
TODAY’S MEAL: Vegetable Carbonara, Roasted Lemon Asparagus, and a classic Italian Tiramisu.

And then here’s how to cook the lemon roasted asparagus:

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
2. Lightly coat your asparagus with olive oil, a squeeze of fresh lemon, and some salt and pepper.
3. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
4. Top with a small pad of butter and parmesan- although I ran out so I just used butter lol

    Love this concept for a video series!! When it’s my turn to host for my book club, I usually pair food and/or drinks with the book. It’s a lot of fun to come up with themes to match the location, time period or cook a recipe from the story.

    Maybe an idea : cozy mystery or a romance book… Paired with Lasagna or cheddar-brocolli soup (both is such a comfort food) or something like that 🤷🏻‍♀️🙈😂

    Funny story by Emily Henry, cus then wine will fit perfectly (one character works at a wine bar). Food for the date will be a cheese plate with fruits, olives, bread, charcuterie etc & crème brûlée for dessert. Et voila!💜
