@BlackstoneBetty whipped up her signature chopped Italian sausage sandwiches, perfect for feeding a crowd with a fun, kid-friendly twist. Inspired by her time cooking on stage at the That’s Amore Festival, she loves recreating those flavors at home with gooey cheese, fresh rolls, and the option to dip in marinara or vodka sauce. Try it out and bring a taste of the festival to your table!

Italian Sausage Sandwiches: https://blackstoneproducts.com/blogs/recipes/italian-sausage-sandwiches-1

Ingredients
1 lb hot Italian sausage, ground
1 lb sweet Italian sausage, ground
1 red bell pepper, diced small
1 green bell pepper, diced small
1 sweet onion, diced small
¼ lb mozzarella cheese, sliced (deli-style)
¼ lb provolone cheese, sliced (deli-style)
2 tbsp olive oil
Blackstone Tuscan Herb Seasoning (to taste)
1 jar marinara sauce (optional)
4 long Italian rolls or 8 club rolls

Directions
1. Preheat your griddle to medium heat.

2. Add the olive oil to one side of the griddle, then toss in the diced bell peppers and onion. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3. On the other side of the griddle, add the ground hot and sweet Italian sausage. Use a scraper or spatula to break the sausage into small crumbles as it cooks.

4. Once the sausage is fully cooked and the vegetables are softened, combine them on the griddle. Sprinkle with Blackstone Tuscan Herb Seasoning and mix well.

5. Lay the mozzarella and provolone slices over the sausage and vegetable mixture. Let the cheese melt into the mixture, then stir to evenly distribute.

6. Fill the rolls with the sausage mixture. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping, or mix the marinara sauce into the sausage and vegetable mixture before removing it from the griddle for a saucier sandwich.

  4. That looks like heaven on a bun. I could live on those sandwiches. Another awsome cook and very easy with a minimal amount of ingredients. Thank you for another great video.

  5. What was the spread you put on their mayonnaise mustard or what. Do you need to put it in the description

  6. Yikes watching you chop veggies is like an accident going to happen. Curl your fingers, do not expose your finger nails. Remember you’re setting an example for others. For the readers there are plenty to videos “how to slice your veggies”. Also slice your veggies with a sharp knife. Chopping causes issues with you cook the veggies

  7. I make this quite often. Also, I have mixed 1lb of 93/7 with 1lb of hot Italian sausage. So good!!
