Here I’m cooking one of my all-time favorites – Chicken Parmigiana Light – a version of the famous Chicken Parmigiana made with chicken thighs topped with tomato and mozzarella and nestled in a bed of fresh tomato sauce. The thighs tend to stay moister during cooking and the flavors of this version are lighter and brighter than the traditional one – perfect for a weeknight dinner. Buon Gusto! #LidiasRecipes #LidiasItaly #LidiasKitchen #LidiaBastianich #ItalianFood #FromLidiasTableToYours #LidiasSoundtrack

  1. Wonderful. Ive made fresh tomato sauce before. It actually was a happy accident because i didnt have canned sauce. My boyfriend paid me to make him a lasagna n i made my own tomato sauce like yours.

  2. Ooh – that’s a really good looking take on an old classic. Say hello to Joe for me, I have a couple of bottles of his wine chilling for my upcoming dinner party.

  3. I love that you used chicken thighs instead of the usual breasts. Once you clean them up, they are quite delicious. I get tired of having chicken breasts all the time. Thanks, Lidia! Happy new year 🥂🥂🥂 and God bless…❤️

  7. You can tell a great chef is competent AND confident when there is not one hint of grease stains or splatter on their shirt! Hats off to you Lydia for controlling the spattering fat in the pan and looking elegant to boot! I’m in awe of this chef, thank you for your wonderful recipes 😘

  8. Everyone loves chicken parmigiana, including me. And this is delicious recipe. But you’d never find this dish in Italy. As with many American favorites, it’s not Italian at all. It’s doesn’t make it less good, but let’s be honest.
