  1. This is so fascinating! Can you imagine how many people would be more likely to stick to a less sugars/carbs diet if they knew this? Oftentimes, the thing that does a diet in, regardless if it’s for health reasons or other, is being deprived completely of foods we love or not being able to afford the foods necessary to keep us more healthy. This is a total game changer. ❤

  2. Here's a big one – stop buying white pasta and rice. Only whole grain pasta or brown rice for diabetics. Makes all the difference, but no one wants to eat that instead….

  4. Also if you have insulin resistance do NOT use the pasta water to make the sauce! It's literally just starch!!!

  5. Just a friendly reminder that DM is reversible. I’ve help patients reversed it and have thank me have cried to me. It’s difficult but not impossible. Takes a lot of discipline and will power but again not impossible 🙏💕

  7. Love this tip! Just finished glucose goddess book as well. Drinking some apple cider vinegar in water 15 mins before a meal as well as eating veggies before a carb heavy meal can reduce spikes as well!

  9. I love this cause both sides of my family have quite a few diseases.. so I always watch what, and how I eat to avoid having to make a drastic life change in my eating habits. Nothing is guaranteed but if I can avoid it just by eating habits I'm all for it.. as a pasta lover myself this video is gold 🪙 thank you ❤❤❤

  11. apparently this works for white rice too. i haven't tried it because i eat a mix of red, black, and brown rice anyway, but maybe i should sometime since white rice is still the best for fried rice.
