miso bacon mac & cheese🌹
Savory miso cheese sauce combined with crispy salty bacon to create the perfect mac & cheese for any occasion.
Ingredients✨
1. elbow macaroni
2. bacon
3. flour
4. milk
5. heavy cream
6. miso paste
7. garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper
8. Dijon mustard
9. sharp cheddar
10. gouda
11. Parmesan cheese
Recipe👩🏽🍳:
1. Boil pasta until slightly al dente for about 8 min.
2. Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
3. Remove excess grease from pan with paper towels leaving a little behind. Then add in flour to create a roux.
4. Whisk for about 1 min then pour in milk and heavy cream. Stir to combine.
5. In a small bowl, mix miso paste with a little water to thin out the miso.
6. Add in the miso paste, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and Dijon mustard into the warm milk.
7. Stir until the miso dissolves and the mixture begins to simmer.
8. Gradually mix in the shredded cheddar and gouda cheese until melted and creamy.
9. In a baking dish, add in 1/3 of the cooked pasta, then some of the crumbled bacon, and some left over cheeses.
10. Repeat until the dish is filled to the top and top with more cheese and Parmesan cheese.
11. Bake at 375 for 25 min and broil for 5 min for that crispy top.
