  1. we are indian americans and making thanksgiving meal for 25 people all vegetarian, not vegan but vegetarian. i dont think i can ever give up butter. I was already making stuffed bell peppers – stuffed with paneer stuffing but was looking for another veggie stuffed dish. this is awesome! i've dispatched my college returned kids to get artichokes and tomorrow my guests are going to get this also. i can tell it will be awesome. and there is no such thing as too much garlic. i'll probably put more that what you have there. I'll make my own breadcrumbs and we will enjoy this. Thanks! 🙂

  2. Grandparents from Sinagra – Came on the Bismark to Ellis. Italian seasoned breadcrumbs ( progresso ), romano grated cheese, black pepper. Mix all in bowl. Coat each leaves with olive oil then spoon in mix into each leave . Steam in large covered pot with min water ( adding more water when evaporated ) Test pull a leaf for easy removal. Finish, Let set for 5 min on dry plate. Eat…….

  3. Hi again.. I am So sorry to bother you again.. Btw : Merry Christmas dude, to you and your family 🎄
•I have to know, can artichokes be prepped ahead of time? Im asking bc if your comment about them turning brown when they hit metal.. Is that what causes the color change or does it happen when you start prepping.. My grandpa told me it happens as soon as u cut into them.. are you sure about the metal being the reason?

  4. Good Job I like your recipie! 😁 I also schred some Prevelone to the Romano. Red Pepper your the man! I do not bake I steam them. 😀

  5. Thank you for this great demonstration of how to prepare artichokes. Finally! I've sometimes read descriptions of how to do this but still never really understood. In Canada we rarely see them in the shops and just about never on restaurant menus. (Where are these family restaurants with giant artichokes you mention??!) On a recent trip to Mallorca in April the fields and shops were overflowing with the most beautiful looking artichokes and it was painful to leave them on the shelf, all because of not understanding how to prepare. Can't wait to try this recipe out next time I see some good ones.

  6. Yada yada yada with the unnecessary comments 😂 All your recipes are so great..you really nail it and when I make your recipes they always always comes out fantastic 🎉

  7. I was watching Sopranos when Carmella makes the stuffed artichokes. I love artichokes so I looked up how to and I found this gem of a video. Now I will proudly make this for my family. ❤

  8. The first time I made stuffed artichokes… I used this recipe, and omg, sooooooo good.
Tasted like a fancy pasta 😅
Super easy. Super delicious. Totally worth it 💖 thank you

  9. You cook great. I've been making artichokes for years and your recipe is better than authentic. I made each individual artichokes in their own small dutch oven. Came out fabulous. 😊

  10. My father is gone 20 years now and I can't help but smile – he could never eat the whole artichoke heart. He knew how much I loved them and he always gave half of the bottom to me. BTW – I made these yesterday. I haven't done them in at least 10 years so I messed up the cooking. I used your recipe pretty closely and THAT part of it was fantastic. YES you need all that garlic! It tasted like Grandma's instead of moms and that's A GREAT THING! Thanks for the trip down memory lane and making my house smell amazing for a week now.

  11. I almost feel like the stuffing for artichokes and baked clams could be interchangeable? Or mushrooms? 🤔

  12. I used to get these in Brooklyn with my grandfather, now im pregnant as hell near tears remembering how good they taste. Im so exicited to make these tomorrow!

  13. Everything I love is in this recipe! Ton of Garlic, lemon and the Sicilian oregano (my fav)! I really enjoy your videos. Thank you!!!!

  14. I run water over the artichoke and I spread the leaves I don’t remove the center until I get to that center when eating it and I spoon in the stuffing to each leaf

  15. I’m so excited. I am making your stuffed artichokes today!!! We are celebrating my parent’s 65th anniversary!!
I only wish James could be my taste tester!!! Thanks for all you guys do!

  16. Artichokes are super healthy… how can this not be healthy…. Whoever says it’s not healthy doesn’t know what they are talking about… just sayin’… this looks delicious and I am prepping mine right now. I have really small artichokes so I halved mine but when I get bigger ones i will do this way…. And the stems ARE amazing part of the heart.,.! 😊
