Baked Ziti is a real crowd pleaser. It is easy to assemble, so it’s one of those recipes that you can double or triple on those occasions when you have to feed your kids’ whole soccer team. It is also a versatile recipe as we become more aware of our intake of nutritious proteins and vegetables. https://lidiasitaly.com/recipes/baked-ziti/

Macaroni and cheese has to be one of the quintessential American comfort foods. To most people it brings back fuzzy memories of a childhood family table. A lot of the versions of macaroni and cheese that you may have eaten would have had some form of cream sauce or roux, but here I’ll give you a recipe for this dish as an Italian in Italy would make it: a simply delicious rendition – https://lidiasitaly.com/recipes/macaroni-and-cheese/

Baked Stuffed Shells. This recipe multiplies well, so it’s good for when you’re entertaining large groups. Easy to prepare, I show you how the shells can be stuffed and assembled ahead of time. Return them to room temperature, and add the final topping of sauce and cheese just before baking. And we get to enjoy a classic visit from Nonna Erminia, sharing “Grandma’s” seal of approval! https://lidiasitaly.com/recipes/baked-stuffed-shells-4/

Baked Rigatoni and Zucchini. Zucchini is best in the summer, which is when this dish -really excels. Today one can get zucchini at a reasonable price -year–round, so it’s easy to make this dish for the family at any time of the year. To balance it further, add some protein, such as swordfish, shrimp, crumbled sausages, or shredded chicken breast. You can add as little or as much of each ingredient to this recipe as you want, to satisfy your nutritional preferences and, of course, your taste – https://lidiasitaly.com/recipes/baked-rigatoni-and-zucchini/.

  1. I didn’t know you could mix it all together on the baked ziti. I use same ingredients but I layer it like a lasagna. I do add a layer of sweet Italian sausage and baked breaded eggplant. It’s a big hit on my holiday table or for a covered dish at a work luncheon. Next I will make the stuff shells. They are so yummy. The Mac and cheese I like because there is no rue. Putting the cheeses in milk to thicken is genius. Thank you.

  2. Hello, my Lidia! Finally a Mac & cheese recipe with a buttered bread crumb topping, instead of more cheese!!! I love it like that. It tastes so much better with a little crunch. All the recipes look awesome. Many thanks…

  6. Baked ziti in my house was always a big hit, I'd always go for the corner pieces. Corner pieces were the best, I think most people prefer the corner pieces over the side and middle pieces.

  7. I been watching you for a long time and I learned a lot from you. I love your videos and show. Your son kills me on Master Chef πŸ˜‚ I just love watching his expressions and he doesn't play β€πŸ˜‚

  8. I love garlic in my sauce. Provolone cheese is so flavorful in baked pasta. I even like it on my homemade pizza. Thanks Lydia, for sharing these delicious looking recipes. ❀

  11. I love the easy way she does the baked ziti by throwing the ricotta in with the warm sauce first. Just don't have the sauce too hot. Disintegrating cheese is disappointing.

  12. From a Fan!!!!! Your next book should be about the misconception that Italian food consists of pasta and tomatoes sauce only. Now looking at your programs , you create food that is more than just pasta or tomato sauce. So why not make a book with recipes of Italian food that is not just pasta or tomato sauce. OKAY

  13. Love to watch you cook. I watch your son on Master Chief. You recipes are so good and I love making them. I’ve watched you a long time.
