This vegan recipe was so yummy guys. Come try my vegan Italian sausage pasta. This is perfect for the beginner vegan who is just starting out. So simple, easy, and fast for a vegan meal. No meat necessary! Perfect for a weeknight meal! Packed full of vegan and plant based protein!
My easy to follow recipe is below!
Vegan Italian Sausage Pasta
Ingredients you need:
1 box of vegan chickpea pasta *Gluten free as well!
3 cups of canned plum tomatoes with juice
2 links of Field roast apple sage vegan sausage
½ cup of canned sliced mushrooms
½ – 1 cup of tomato sauce
Fresh Cilantro to taste
Salt to taste
1 tsp Dried basil
Black Pepper to taste
Olive oil for cooking
2-3 tablespoons of garlic
1. First boil your pasta in salted water and as instructed on the package. Cook 2 minutes under what is on the package. Drain and set aside
2. While pasta is cooking chopped already cooked field roast sausage… chop and crumble
3. Once pasta is drained add olive oil back to pasta pot. Heat on medium, add garlic and all spices. Let cook for 1 minute and then add mushrooms. Then add plum tomatoes. Cook on medium heat for 7 minutes stirring occasionally.
4. Stir in sausage, pasta, and tomato sauce. Cook for another 7 minutes or until tomatoes are soft. Stir occasional
5. Add cilantro
6. Enjoy immediately.
