we are back today food and we’ve got royalty in the house James Beard award-winning Chef author and restaurant tour Missy Robbins she is known worldwide for bringing delicious Italian cuisine to Brooklyn with her hotpots Lilia and Missy can’t even get in her latest Venture is called Missy pasta It’s a boutique in ativo bar and this is exciting a selection of her grocery specialty items are now available Nationwide so you can do Missy at home good morning it’s good to see you great to see you so this is a re people could use some of your products and do this at home yes they can make it themselves but we make it really easy we sell eggplant that we’ve roasted already and mixed with chilies and lemon we’re going to show you how to make it and we sell our sauce called Simple sauce and the whole idea behind the simple sauce is take the simple sauce leave it simple or make it a little Jed up it um you know for those people who are a little more shy in the kitchen I warrn you I’m not an eggplant fan so show me how work I’m going to tell you so this is really slowly cooked 15 20 minutes whole it breaks it down it gets rid of the bitterness this is we just keep turning it on a grill grill pan or you could do a grill outside you cut it you cut it open this you can do it outside preferably um you cut it open yeah like this and you just scoop out the insides oh scoop out okay you scoop it out like this and then you and then you just chop it a little bit okay you just chop it’s so soft you could chop with your spoon oh no use your knife okay you use a little knife but if it we you I know I’m sorry unintentionally you chop use your hands unintentionally funny have they told you I don’t know how to cook you told me you don’t know how I know I don’t you don’t know how to I don’t believe you cook I’ll do the same I don’t believe you I know Al knows how to cook Al’s amazing know actually Carson to so what we do is we have the eggplant we add a little red wine vinegar just to give it a little acid we add these amazing chilies these are calabrian chilies super spicy you can do it as spicy as you want okay we add a little of the C chili oil also make it spicy and then lemon zest which which gives it garlic whatever whatever you want to call it it’s lemon Z my eyesight’s we give it a little we give it this just gives it a little like brightness a little floral a little softness and then just stir it all together stir it all together okay I’m moving you down cuz I don’t want to run out of time all right we’re not going to run out of we have our beautiful Missy pasta you brought this from one of restaurants didn’t you yeah we’re going to add this eggplant here to the sauce okay this is so easy I mean you’re going to look like a professional chef when you make this at home this weekend I am people will be shocked are you going to make it well maybe I would just will challenge accepted Missy Robin I think I think you should do it all right this is pasta this is from our store also we sell all of this Nationwide let me see what the taster it’s so quiet over there they must how we doing guys Che if you didn’t want to do the eggplant I mean could you do could you swap out anything like a zucchini or squash yeah you can do whatever you can use zucchini you can do extra garlic you could just do chilies show the final steps this is the final step of this we’re just going to let this cook you want to let the cook cook in the sauce for like a minute but this is awesome this you’re going to add cheese this is mozzarella and you add it right at the very end and it starts to melt oh my strawberry salad is unbelievable cubed it it starts to melt I got 15 seconds to show the salad and taste it this is easy I literally mean 15 seconds we got strawber 15 seconds we have strawberries we have balsamic mhm we have olive oil yes this is so easy and it’s so pretty and different I we have salt M salt is strawberry we have pepper yeah and we’re out of time Missy Robins check it out Nationwide we [Music] oh
