White sauce pasta is a delicious dish made of pasta, butter, milk, cream & herbs. With its silky smooth and aromatic sauce made from butter, milk and all-purpose flour (Maida), it’s a guaranteed way to delight your taste buds. White sauce pasta originated from the Italian & French cuisines and is base for many other sauce recipes.
This yummy and very tasty pasta in white sauce is favourite with kids and I make this with so many different variations. This recipe shared is a vegetarian recipe, you can tweak it and add your other favourite veggies, shrimp or chicken.
Similar to Tomato Pasta, White Pasta is also extremely simple to make and takes only 15-17 minutes. It makes meal by itself and doesn’t need anything else on side. Prepare lightly spiced aromatic fresh white sauce, stir-fry the veggies, boil the pasta, and mix them all. Easy, isn’t it? You can also make the sauce ahead and refrigerate. Then later toss in the cooked pasta when you like to have the dish. This White Sauce Pasta Recipe explains the entire cooking process in a simple way for both new and expert cooks.
Some useful tips:
• You can use any kind of pasta you like, like macaroni, fusilli, penne or spaghetti.
• Full fat milk works very well as it adds richness.
• Adding cream makes white sauce pasta rich in taste.
• You can also use cheddar cheese or parmesan cheese or mix many kinds of cheese
• You can also use the same recipe to make chicken pasta in white sauce, tastes good with mustard and black pepper.
