I love the Sopranos and I love a good sandwich, so when I saw Tony order this sandwich I had to make it. I did an optional twist and both versions are delicious, so it doesn’t matter which route you choose. Watch the video to see that twist. Unlike a number of Italian American sandwiches that use a plethora of cold cuts this sandwich uses just one and that one is synonymous with the show, DA GABAGOOL! also known as capocollo, coppa, capicola. This Italian cured meat is made of pork and uses the neck and shoulder, it’s seasoned to perfection just like the show.

  1. I have the Sopranos cookbook ! It was bought for me as a joke, considering that I am part Sicilian 😂😂

  2. Americanized sliced provolone instead of imported Italian picante provolone? Might as well use Kraft American Singles.

  3. Aw cmon man @2:50 it wasn't about the sammich it was about his inability to be the slightest bit of a hedonist because of his stress!!! CMON MAN SOPRANOS IS DEEP. Anyways I'm going to make these peppers and the burrata idea is genius especially if it's ice cold but I'm Polish what do I know lol

  4. Ok, you must have been told that 500 times already, but it's pronounced and written correctly like that:
    eGabbagooollle
Just like Tony said it in the series.
You're welcome. No need to thank. I've been happy to help. Any time.

  5. I've got the Soprano's Family Cookbook and it's too bad sandwiches are almost totally ignored in it. I'm going to try the sandwich out, but using Skyr, instead of the Stracciatella, as it's much easier to find and a whole lot less expensive (at least here in Calgary, Canada). Cream cheese would do too. I know, I know, not totally Italian, but 'cha gotta do whatcha gotta do, eh! Marone!

  6. One thing with this kind of sandwich that also upgrades things without a lot of effort is to take a sheet of baking parchment, wax paper, or butcher paper and go with a tight wrap of the sandwich before you eat it. The compression tends to improve a lot of things about it and is one of the reasons why deli or shop sandwiches tend to taste better than ones made at home even with the exact same ingredients.

  7. And only eat this for my diet. 4 times a day. And nothing else.
And was a 700 lbs sack of leaky garbage. Now I’m 6’4 230.

I eat this and do my 30 minute exercise. 3 times a week. Can be 2.

    30 mins. 1000 push-ups. 1000 sit-ups. And 1000 pull-ups.

All it is is 30 mins a day. So anyone can do it.

  8. Sniff sniff.. copyright claim: alabama 3 woke up this morning – sopranos – No action needed. Sniff sniff…

  9. Personally I’d leave the stracciatella off. It’s good but there’s not need for it Imo. Just add more gabagool and it makes it better.
