Fantini Edizione Vino Rosso Lot 2016 “18” 4.2/5 Star Wine Tasting #winewithryan

From Abruzzo, Italy comes this stunning Fantini Edizione Cinque Autoctoni (14.5%) Lot 2016 “18” Vino Rosso (Red Wine Blend). Grape varietals used are: Montepulciano, Primitivo, Sangiovese, Negroamaro & Malvasia Nera. This is a non-vintage wine and the # on the front of the label indicates progressive vintages making this a slightly difficult to do research on. Each Lot and # are night and day different, but from the wines we’ve had thus far, they are all stunning examples of what Italy can do when blending the best of their grape varietals together.
Tasting notes: full bodied with flavors of black cherries, candied blackberries & raspberries. Beautiful tannins, nice sweetness with a hint of vanilla & oak.
We gave this wine a 4.2/5 star rating. Bought locally at Ingredients, SK for $65, this is a superb Italian wine that is always a treat to enjoy.
