Normally I would say TAH but if you both make those jocks then Nta. Maybe sit down with her and make sure that the boundries are clear. Hormons are crazy and right now your wife has a lot if them.

So you both making jokes about the weight. If shes offended then you need to talk to her, something is bugging her that makes her eat much more
You crossed the line. It's not so much about the weight gain. You mentioned death. The fact you stated raising your baby without her because she's gonna die due to eating a bag of chips is what set her off. My father told me that when a woman gives birth, she will always have one foot in the grave. Now, you've given her reason to be scared and stressed out even more for no reason.

Jokes are one thing ….but as a common rule Women don't like being called fat or implying that they are fat …. Even if it's true or not if you value your life or actually care about your partners feelings…Just don't say it. Especially pregnant women…. hormones are all over the place.
