Naples is famous for its Neapolitan pizza,　and this particular restaurant, Nennella, is also very famous.　 You will not only see delicious food, but also enjoy a special experience that can only be had at this location. These are oven-baked meatballs. Then they are cooked further with tomato sauce.

This is for a dish called pasta, potatoes, and provola cheese. Later, I put the pasta directly in here. People start waiting in line about an hour before opening!! Pasta sauces Hi! I am Daniele, 4th generation of the Nennala family. I am the chef here and this is my place!

This place was born in 1945 by my great-grandmother. At that time, after the war, they served panini and pasta. My grandfather grew up here as a chef, Then it continued with my parents and then me. Our specialty is a pasta dish called ‘Pasta, Potatoes, and Probola Cheese’.

We are famous not only for our food, but also for the exciting shows here! Nennella means a small woman. My great-grandmother was called “Nennella” since she was a little girl. Ironically, my grandma was a big lady though.

We are moving to a larger location that is more convenient for our customers and easier for us to work in. New, our location is PIazza Carità, about 300 meters from this historic restaurant here in the Spanish Quarter. We have been here since 1949. Then we move 74 years later.

We will be here until November 2023, after which time we will be waiting for you at Piazza Carità. Even in the new location, everything is the same as before, the shows are the same, and, best of all, the delicious food is the same. Chef’s grandmother

After another 3 minutes I add the pecorino romano and provola cheeses and it is done. Finally, it is opening time. The 150 seats are quickly filled. We are from here, Naples. Yes we have already ordered. This is our wine. ‘What, we ordered?’ ‘Pasta, potatoes, provola cheese, and Neapolitan meatballs.’

Those would be absolutely fantastic. ‘Bon Appetito.’ ‘Thank you!’ Swordfish Tuna Rigatoni Pasta Do you want cheese? There is a long line in front of the restaurant and it seems like you have to wait quite a long time, but tell the staff your name.

There are 150 seats in the restaurant, and thanks to a well-designed system, you don’t have to wait that long. We are from Sicily. This is our first time in Naples. This is our second visit to Nennnella. We loved it so much. The ‘pasta and potatoes’ here are the best!

It’s delicious. You know it when you see it!　 Due to copyright reasons, we have changed the background music; please enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of Nennella. One of the specialties of Nenella is the breaking of plates. This is a custom in Naples and Greece to pray for good luck.

Although there is always a line at Nennella, takeout is actually served quickly! I had ‘pasta and potatoes’. It is a simple dish, but that is why it is so difficult to make. It is an incredibly tasty and complete dish. Highly recommended.
