Did you see in the market, among the fishs that pic with a sad gentleman printed in black and whiteand below a written "e io pago!"?
That gentleman was Totò, the best famous comic actor in the whole Italy since ever.
He was of Naples but was so loved by people that even now time one is reminded although he passed away about 50 years ago.
The sentence "e io pago" means "each time, at last that's me who have to pay". It's a famous sentence pronounced in a one of him famous movie.
Him remembering is still alive among people. When he died at him funeral at Naples were about 100.000 peoples to give him tribute…. neither the nation chiefs!

Never had bacala cooked that way although that looks very good. My mother always fried bacala and I do miss it.
