  4. My husband is from Calabria and when I had a cold he made this for me. I tell you, that soup made me feel so much better. I believe it could even grow back a limb. 😊

  5. When I was a child (many decades ago) my mother would cook the star-shaped pastina as a hot breakfast cereal with a little milk and a sprinkle of sugar! And she was of German descent! This soup looks so delicious, I need to try it, but I haven't seen pastina in the grocery stores. I have found orzo and many other shapes, but no pastina! Thanks!

  6. Trying this recipe with dittalini pasta. That's the smallest pasta I can find here. SO glad you didn't throw out the vegetables!

  7. I love your recipes!❤️And this soup will be my next to try. 🥣
OT question…what do you use in your hair to give it that texture?🥰

  8. My Sicilian grandma and great grandma made something similar. I'd never heard the word pastina until the internet. It was chicken stock, Acini di pepe. After it was mostly cooked, we drizzled scrambled egg in and topped with a lot of parmesan cheese. My mom made it, and I made it for my kids.

  9. I am not familiar with Parmesan rind. Where do you find this? I’ve seen Parmesan cheese but what does the rind look like? Walmart is the biggest food store I’m mostly at.

  10. I grew up on this soup however Pastina is no longer manufactured from what I understand. I can't find it in stores or online. Can anyone tell me where you are finding it?

  11. Very nice. I'm a novice at best. How long do you boil the hard vegetables before simmering them? And can I use an immersion blender in lieu of a food processor which I don't have? Thank you very much.

  12. Just made this for dinner and it's delicious. My kids love the little stars and wanted seconds.
