Struffoli is a classic Italian dessert traditionally served on Christmas day. Little balls of citrus infused fried dough are tossed in a warm honey mixture and covered with rainbow sprinkles. The Struffoli are shaped into a cone to represent a Christmas tree or in a ring to resemble a wreath. This dessert is really easy to prepare and makes for a great family activity on Christmas day!

STRUFFOLI RECIPE (Italian Honey Balls)
All-Purpose Flour – 2 Cups (290g)
Baking Powder – 1/2 teaspoon (4g)
Fine Sea Salt – 1/2 teaspoon (3g)
Granulated Sugar – 2 tablespoons (25g)
Lemon Zest – from 1 lemon
Orange Zest – from 1/2 and orange
Sweet Marsala – 2 tablespoons (white wine works too)
Unsalted Butter – 2 oz. (57g)
Large Eggs – 2 each

HONEY GLAZE
Honey – 2/3 Cup (225g)
Granulated Sugar – 3 Tbsp. (45g)
Sliced Almonds – 1/2 Cup (optional)
