  1. No.
No starchy water, no finishing in the pan, completely dry. You have a lot of room for improvement.

Nice that he liked it. But pasta doesn’t like to be dry, it would’ve been better if you mixed pasta with the sauce before serving, it’s much better

Love the idea of two sauces! But have you ever stirred the cooked past in the sauce before serving it? The flavor becomes melded and really is the best way to serve pasta

And here they are with all the standard comments about how pasta HaS To haVe SAuCe eVErYWheRe, not accepting that there are people like you, your husband and me who prefer the variation of having one fork of buttery, cheesy pasta, one fork with a little sauce, then a spoon full of just sauce with very little pasta and so on.

Don’t let them get you too, it looks delicious.

  7. Oh wow. This is how my parents served pasta in the 70s. I hope you were going for a retro look.

Looking at your recipe comment, first and foremost don’t cook your pesto over heat. It just cooks the flavor out of the basil.

Otherwise welcome to the sub! Please hang around a bit and lurk, there’s a lot of really helpful recipe tips I think you could find in here.
