“Phantom Gourmet is all about finding great places like this. It’s in an historic building which also houses their sister restaurant The Duck which is a fantastic place. It’s rustic but chic, has that Tuscan farmhouse kind of vibe. Everything is made from scratch here using lots of local ingredients. Pastas and sauces are made in house. Bolognese is just amazing, rich and thick served over fresh gnocchi with some fresh ricotta cheese. You can get a great bowl of linguine with clams. But I recommend the meatballs, I tend to just always order meatballs because they’re the best barometer for what kind of meal you’re going to get. And these are the chef’s grandmother’s recipe, simmered in tomato sauce, topped with cheese, delicious.”
