A delicious fried treat from the Alto Adige region of Italy!
INGREDIENTS
• 250ml milk
• 200g flour
• 3 egg yolks
3 egg whites
• 20g ghee
• 20ml white grappa
• 50g sugar
• 1 pinch salt
• Sugar powder
METHOD 1. Beat egg whites with sugar and set aside.
2. Whisk milk and sifted flour in a bowl.
3. Add melted butter, grappa, a pinch of salt and egg yolks. Mix until smooth.
4. Finally, add beaten egg whites and mix.
5. In a pan, heat oil.
6. Put approx. 1 bucket – 1 bucket and a half of batter in a funnel and pour it into hot oil, starting from the center and forming a spiral on the bottom of the pan.
7. Carefully flip the pancake on the other side to fry both sides.
