Thinly slice 2 medium onions and sauté them on low heat with a pat of butter. Sprinkle on a hefty pinch of salt, and a hefty pinch of sugar and cook for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally or until deeply Caramelized, adding a splash of water in case the pan gets dry.
Throw in 1-2 cloves of minced or crushed garlic and cook for another few minutes
Cook whatever pasta shape you like, drain, and combine all ingredients and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, parsley, and Parmesan cheese
