  1. Ethan- frankly, you're just the man when it comes to food Youtubers. More killer ideas as always. Thanks for everything you give us!

  2. I’m making the gochujang beef myself tonight but I’m using frozen mixed vegetables just cause I like variety in my veggies

  3. I rarely cook and i mean rarely, i'm the king of lazy. But after watching this i bought an 8kg bag of rice, rice cooker, ground beef, gochujang paste and peas and already tried it out and it came out great. Please do more lazy meals videos lol 👍

  4. In general I liked the video but I winced whenever you threw out the pejorative word, lazy. Please don't again. Use, "don't have the energy." Sadly the word is often used for people with enduring depression, and that's not right. In any case, it's always a pejorative, a bullying word. Of course if that's the impression you want to make I take it all back, you do you, boo.

  5. I made the beef gochujang and it was extremely spicy, like I can barely eat it. Can I cut the gochujang with something?

  6. Man, the gochujang cookies from NYT were just delightful. Our first experience with it and it was so good!

  7. Good ideas. Camera work is a bit over-the-top on food close-ups. Take a step back–it looks tasty enough. We don't need to be inside the meat.

  8. As a Korean-American, it's cool seeing you use Gochuchang. Great video btw

  9. Honest question- in the way of systems, who has fresh scallions sitting in a little bowl ready to go? I never even think to buy at the market given how little is use them… 4:41

  10. It urks me the way you use the word "healthy" for meals that include white rice or half a baguette. This is not the first video…. Maybe throw in some farro or convert to a salad, or just use a different term such as "healthier". Way too much highly processed grain to be called "healthy"!

  11. There is nothing healthy about those, do not kid yourself, dude.
It is filled to the brim with carbs and lean protein. No mention of any kind of healthy fats or fibers.

  12. Unfortunately I ran out of Gochujang so I used Japanese barbecue sauce with some red chili flakes and it was awesome.

  13. Gottdamn! If this is lazy cooking, I'm curious what it looks like when you're ambitious. I was expecting opening cans and zhuzhing up cold cuts

  14. I love stuff that is easy to cook while not taking long, has few ingredients, and tastes good without being bad for you. I think these three fit the bill pretty good and I'm definitely going to give them a try starting with the gochujang beef. Great video.

  15. What brand protein bar is this? I have never had protein bars before and this one looks interesting.

  16. pleaseeee do a video on the gochujang paste!!😭😭 i’ve been tempted to buy it in the past but i cant come up with anything to cook with it, i would love some ideas on how to use it!!

  17. Ethan, thank you for saying out loud how difficult this might be on a daily basis, and offering all good ideas. This all makes getting over the hurdles (own laziness, alas) easier, and winning through all the more satisfying! Also, 😋

  18. Hello, thank you for the video. Is the griddle induction compatible and how does it fair on an induction cooktop?

  19. This video made me give yogurt bowls a chance after deciding as a child that I do not like them. My mother used to use 0% fat yogurt, not greek, but the kind that was extremely runny and sour. I bought 2% plain greek for this, because couldn’t really find vanilla (I just don’t think we have it here) and thought 0% plain would have not been to my taste. It was absolutely mind baffingly amazing. Refreshing and filling. This will definitely be my breakfast/preworkout meal for a month or two. So good.

  20. Love the yogurt bowl idea. I'll sometimes make one with cottage cheese instead of yogurt. Frozen wild blueberries (the small ones) or raspberries, walnuts or pecans, and maybe a drizzle of honey or maple syrup. Best easy breakfast or snack.

  21. Definitely do a gochuchang video (but not how to make it, just recipes that use it with different proteins)

  22. I made this (the Korean-style rice bowl) but subbed the gochujang with this sauce called Gotchu… It was the only thing I could find but it came out awesome. My son is going away for the summer and I start a WFH job on Monday so this easy, healthy recipes was perfect.

  23. Made the gochujang beef tonight for dinner and the family gave it a 9/10 but has potential to be a 10/10. Lost two points because I didn't drain the beef and they thought it was a tad too greasy but gained a point because I added garlic scapes and they love them. 😂

  24. 👋 this is the second video I'm watching of yours and I decided to subscribe 🙂 I would like a full video on that sauce that I'm not even going to attempt to spell… The one you had with your first recipe. Even one of the words you used to describe it (unami was it?) I don't know what that means. Lol
If you did make a video on that I would love to know!

And maybe also how do you clean your skillet thing?…

  25. what does maintenance look like on the griddle for you? just moved into a new place with a gas stove, excited to try one out

  26. I know it's not nearly as fancy or inspiring as the stuff you proposed but my energy levels and motivation are extremely sporadic and unreliable, so I really try to utilise the time when I have energy.
I really like to make a big pot of something like curry but I am only cooking for myself, so in order to not just prep for the times when I have no energy but also to prevent as much food waste as possible, I freeze a few portions of whatever I've cooked a batch of.
Label it and maybe keep a basic inventory of home cooked portions you have in your freezer as to not let anything go bad and voila – if you're not up to properly cooking, all you have to do is thaw your portion and maybe toast some bread or put on a quick pot of rice.
