Pasta alla Luciana, originates in Naples, combining tender baby octopus with capers and black olives. The salty flavours of the ocean mixed with sweet tomatoes and the crunch of olives will take you on a trip to the Mediterranean.
After tasting this dish in Naples myself recently I couldn’t get over the flavors given so few ingredients were used. Bring the smell of the ocean home and have some sourdough bread handy to scoop up all that rich sugo – alla scarpetta!

  2. I am wondering why I am hungry again. Some minutes ago I had to refuse eating another piece of cake. I guess that it is your fault, Vincenzo. You are cooking again…..

Thank you very much for sharing your video with us.

  3. I love octopus and squid. Unfortunately, I am alone among my family and friends on that point. Their loss!!

  4. HI VINCENZO…..YOU ALWAYS AMAZE ME WITH THESE RECIPES THAT YOU BRING BACK FROM ITALY….ANOTHER RECIPE THAT I WILL TRY…..

  5. Looks amazing! Don't the octopuses get chewy and rubbery when you cook them this long?

  6. I'd go a bit further and say, get the olives with the pit and take the pit out yourself. They're much better

  7. I would eat this right now but it's 7.00am. 😂
A simple yet delicious meal. A winner for me. 😋

  8. I always loved eating octopus more than anything…but then I watched My Octopus Teacher!!!

  9. Vincenzo, the day you decide to rent a room in your house, i want to be the first to apply!

  10. I love octopus. The first time I had baby octopus was at a local restaurant and they were grilled. I couldn’t believe how delicious! I do think they are amazing animals, but I’m still going to eat them. 😂 Looks amazing Vincenzo! 💕

  11. I’m trying to figure out how to find a good source for the octopus. Usually with baby cephalopods, they are aquacultured. As in farmed. If anyone in the states has a preferred source please let me know! I need this dish in my life lol. Also, question for you Vincenzo. Is there any prep required? Or is everything so small in the babies we don’t need to remove any hard parts?

  12. Can't find those easily and really respect my cephalopods :'D A lot like putanesca it seems.

  13. If you like garlic use more and if you don’t like garlic see a psychiatrist to find out what is wrong with you

  14. 7:08 "Look how happy the octopus is now"

    The octopus: *dead since Tuesday

Aaaanway, off to by octopus now….

  15. Vincenzo, this recipe is missing peas, cream, butter, “Italian herbs”, and hamburger buns.
    KIDDING!!!
As always looks fresh and delicious!
